SEASONAL POSITIONS
The 2013 Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival will run from July 12th through August. 25th. Most positions are available during the actual run of the Festival, however, please note that some positions may offer pre/post hours. These hours are generally "on-call" and may be offered to employees as they are hired. They would involve the set up the venue during the months of late May through the end of June.
Site
Attendant-Seasonal Position; Full and/or Part Time
The primary emphasis for this position is to work mainly outside of the
amphitheatre before and during the performances to insure the safety and
comfort of the guests. Duties include preparation & cleaning of
amphitheater for each evenings performance, assisting guests, watering of
landscaping, keeping the food court clear of litter and trash, removal of trash
from amphitheatre and the cleaning of amphitheatre after the performance. The
Site Attendant must have a calm demeanor, flexible attitude to working hours
and be able to respond to situations in a professional and constructive manner.
Working hours are from 2:00 pm - closing (appx. 11:00 pm) nightly or split
shift 9 am -12:00 pm and 5:00 pm - closing (appx. 11:00 pm)
Assistant
Site Attendant-Seasonal Position; Full and/or Part Time
The primary emphasis for this position is to assist guests in the amphitheater and
to insure their seats are comfortable and level. This position will also be
responsible to assist the Lead Site Attendant in the cleaning of theater and
removal of trash at the end of the performance. A strong ability to move about
the steep grade of sand within the theater is necessary. Working hours are from
5:30 pm through closing each night scheduled (appx. 11:00 pm)
Assistant
House Coordinator-Seasonal Position; Part Time
These individuals will assist House Manager with the duties associated with
preparing the venue for patrons to arrive, seating of guests, general customer
service and simple housekeeping duties. This is a very interactive position
with our guests. Dependability and ability to work comfortably with the public
is a must. A strong ability to move about the steep grade of sand within the
theater is necessary. Working hours are from 3:30 pm - closing (appx. 11:00 pm)
nightly
Assistant Volunteer Coordinator-Seasonal Position; Part Time
These individuals will assist our Volunteer Coordinator in making sure all volunteers are comfortable and checked in properly. They will also coordinate admissions at the front gate and provide general information to all patrons. These individuals will be very customer service oriented and willing to work in any capacity to provide excellent service. The Assistant Volunteer Coordinator will work evenings as scheduled from 5:00 p.m. through the close of each performance (appx. 11:00 pm).
Merchandise
Coordinator- Seasonal Position; Full and/or Part Time
The primary emphasis for this position is to work in the Merchandise Booth
selling souvenirs and apparel to the general public. This position will
coordinate inventory, stocking, merchandising, set-up and operation of
merchandise booth, including opening and closing of booth and reconciling cash
drawer. This position requires agility and light strength. These individuals
will be very customer service oriented and willing to work in any capacity to
provide excellent service. The Merchandise Coordinator will work evenings as
scheduled from 5:00 p.m. through the close of intermission for each
performance.
Box
Office Sales Agents- Seasonal Position; Part Time
Based at the on-site Box Office at Sand Harbor, these individual(s) must have
ability to work in fast-paced atmosphere. Agents sell tickets to walk up patrons, facilitate will call and provide general information about the Festival. They must have calm, friendly and
professional demeanor at all times and is able to respond to questions or
customer problems in an informative and constructive manner. Familiarity with
data input, attention to detail and organizational skills are vital to this
position. Box Office Agents will be scheduled from 4:30pm - 8pm on evenings
assigned.
