Kayak Willby julie Our creative agency, Hat Trick, presented seven concepts for our 2009 Festival advertising campaign, which we had decided was to focus on Lake Tahoe and the amazing escape our lakeside theatre presents. Our plays this season, Measure for Measure and Much Ado About Nothing are two tremendous productions - one is a thought provoking dramatic comedy and the other is just outright hilarious. Therefore it was important that we were able to convey both the beauty and experience of our venue with the genres of our theatrical offerings in this creative. Luckily, the choice was obvious... but we needed to get the perfect photograph to pull off the chosen concept. We contacted a local Tahoe photographer whose work we admired, Chris Talbot, and asked him to capture just the shot we needed of Lake Tahoe at Sand Harbor with exactly the right feel and light. Another killer sunset and Chris got it. Check! Then Zach Lyon of Hat Trick created and dropped in "Kayak Will"; he's on his way to the theatre you know...there's a show to be taken in.
This will be my second summer in Tahoe, with the Shakespeare Festival, and I've discovered that the sunsets on Lake Tahoe are magical. They cause me to pause and relax almost everyday, and I am so looking forward to those evenings at Sand Harbor again. There is something different about the view through the stage than from other places around the Lake - really! I invite you to experience a sunset and a show at Sand Harbor this summer. Along with tasty food and a glass of wine from Shakespeare's Kitchen, good company and great live entertainment - make an evening yours to remember at the Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival...don't wait, buy your tickets now! |
