Much AdoAbout SOMETHING...Thoughts From The Young ShakespeareFront

At this writing, we have just opened the Young Shakespeare production of Much Ado About Nothing.  Finally, after many weeks of rehearsals, wehave gotten to strut our stuff and perform before a live audience (numbering inthe hundreds!)…and on the GORGEOUS Much Ado set, no less.  Woooooooohooooooooo!

Although the past week has been a whirlwind of final costumefittings, set building, et al,  gettingthe production to Opening Day has been, dare I say it, somewhat of a cakewalk.  Everyone has been working hard andpitching in as needed, the LTSF staff has been so welcoming and helpful and Ihave not yet had to body slam anyone (therefore proving that I do in fact doroller derby)….

I know, I know.  Whywould you possibly want to read a blog without juicy tidbits, mayhem or hotgossip?  To which I say, “Drama belongson the stage.”

Which is exactly where it is.

I really am so proud of my cast and crew.  Most of the young actors are quite new totheater…several of them have never even performed in a play before.  That, right there, is one of the main reasonsI love the Young Shakespeareprogram!

That and I get to see squirrels the size of small catswandering around backstage.  Ha ha.

Thank you so much for supporting our program.
