Nearing the end

I haven’t written for a while, I was letting the public focus on the blog war between Catherine and Brian. But here we are at the end of the festival, the last week.
Tonight is the last performance of Cambio, and it’s been a long journey. I am so proud of the cast and crew and how they worked through everything, I can’t even tell you the hurdles we’ve jumped over. I’ve met a lot of very special people, hopefully I’ll see them all again at some point in my future career and in socializing. I’m going to miss them. We’ve become a family, a disfunctional family, but a family all the same. And we’ve all spent maybe a little too much time together.
Richard III ended on Saturday and we’ve already lost a couple people who went back to their real lives. It was a fantastic show, and the couple times I got to watch it from the audience I was completely drawn in. Amazing performances.
Three more performances of Midsummer to go, and I wish so badly that I could watch it from the audience, but such is the life of an ASM. I know it’s an amazing show that so many people connect with, and despite the fact that I have to light and put out a fire during every show(and I fear fire!) I’ve enjoyed working it immensely. Thursday night will be the last day I’ll see a lot of these talented, hilarious people.
I don’t know how they gathered so many funny people into one company, but it happened.
As for me, after this run I go back to school. And I get to have classes with a couple of the people I’ve been working with this summer. Oh, the inside jokes will be fabulous. And I plan on taking quite a few trips to other cities to visit these people who are leaving me.
I don’t even know what to say really, but thank you everyone involved, and I hope all of you who went to the shows enjoyed them, thank you for the support, and I have had a very memorable summer. Take care!
