InterACT WorkshopsIn 2012-13, we will continue our very successful school-based Educational Outreach Program with our InterACT workshop series. These are offered to schools and community groups in Nevada and California from February to May. These workshops are highly interactive and feature activities to help students understand the many timeless themes of Shakespeare's works, as well as the world of theatre as a whole. The Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival is a 501 C (3) non-profit organization established for the cultural benefit and enjoyment of all residents and visitors to our region. We strive to plan, produce and advocate the finest cultural events at Lake Tahoe while educating future generations on the importance of including theatre, music and art in their everyday lives. Supported by Stimulus Funding through the Nevada Arts Council's SNAP Grant Program.
2013 will mark the 12th season of this program. The Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival is proud to offer FREE performances throughout the Reno-Tahoe-Truckee region. These fun and interactive plays offer a great introduction for children to the mastery of William Shakespeare and the wonders of outdoor theater.
