InterACT Youth Theatre Workshops

InterACT Logo (Transparent BG)
InterACT is a series of theatre and acting workshops appearing in schools and youth clubs throughout Nevada and Northern California. For more information or to request a presentation, contact us or call (775) 832-1616.

InterACT is a humanities-based workshop series or theatre "intensives" designed to run from one day to one week, depending upon the school’s needs and scheduling availability. Offered to schools in Nevada and California from February to June, these workshops are highly interactive and feature activities to help students understand the many timeless themes of Shakespeare’s works, as well as the world of theatre as a whole.  Our InterACT instructors are both seasoned theatre professionals and experienced teachers who carefully craft each workshop to meet the specific needs of the students they are serving.  Students engage in acting games and discussions and work towards the culminating performance of a selection of scenes.

We offer workshops focusing on either A Midsummer Night's Dream, Romeo & Juliet or Much Ado About Nothing.  These workshops are designed to align specifically with the Nevada State Learning Standards for Theatre and English Language Arts.  Therefore, the workshops supplement standard classroom learning and help fill the void of arts education that has developed in most schools due to lack of support, funding, and skilled artistic practitioners.

It is our hope that the InterACT workshops will make learning fun and accessible and serve to not only enrich each student's life, but to also create the next generation of theater-goers.
