Live Music to Compliment Production Producing Artistic Director Charles Fee will direct Shakespeare's romantic-comedy which will include live music as underscore to the play. "The Two Gentlemen of Verona is a favorite of mine," says Fee, "In Two Gents Shakespeare is exploring, perhaps for the first time, all of the themes of love, friendship, betrayal, and coming of age that will mark his works for the rest of his life. It is a deeply romantic and absurdly funny play."  The Two Gentlemen of Verona will perform Tuesday through Sunday evenings. Free parking at Sand Harbor for Festival guests begins at 5 pm and gates open for seating and dining at Shakespeare's Kitchen at 5:30 pm. All performances begin at 7:30 pm. The Monday Showcase Series begins July 16 and concludes August 20th. "Our Monday Showcase Series is the perfect complement to our Shakespeare season as it provides audiences with an incredible range of music and other events in the majestic setting of Sand Harbor State Park," according to Fee.  New: Cabaret Table Seating offered in Premium section; affordable Side Gallery section  Patrons will see two new sections that have been added to the amphitheatre's seating charts. No romantic comedy would be complete without a bit of treachery, a cross-dressing heroine, a band of really scary outlaws and, of course, a dog!  In The Two Gentlemen of Verona, Shakespeare gives us all this and more, a story of friendship, betrayal and, ultimately, forgiveness.  Additional Festival Highlights & Updates The Festival will continue its popular "Handling Fee-Free" ticketing in 2012.  Once again the published price is the real price, no additional taxes or handling fees added to any ticket.
